CWM was started in 1995 with support from Werner Reiter and some active members of the Diocese of Regensburg in Germany. It was first introduced in the Diocese of Masaka, Kampala, Kiyinda Mityana, Jinja, and Hoima. Each Diocese had different partners in Germany and the relationship was at a diocesan level between Uganda and Germany. In 2008, we had our first Delegates Assembly and the first ever National Executive committee was held. In 2009 Ernst Bodenmueller came for the first time as an expert from Germany to give technical, administrative, and management support.

YEARS OF FAITH AND ACTION
In our work as CWM, we are also supporting and founding different Projects all over Uganda, to improve the livelihoods of our members and people close to them.
A poultry project can be either a group project or just led by a single member as a private project.
The CWM is also supporting schools by the acquisition of learn materials and building up class rooms, offices, libraries or sanitation facilities.
Tree growing projects just exist as group projects, because they can be quite expensive in the beginning.
