Coffee Tree Planting

The Catholic Workers Movement in Uganda through the various base groups has encouraged the planting of coffee, a lucrative agricultural project in Uganda today. Uganda is Africa’s second-largest coffee producer, primarily growing Robusta and Arabica on smallholder family farms, with coffee serving as a key cash crop for 70% of the population.
